Beside The Lillies

This one is for my grandmother, who has recently passed away..
the lillies are symbolic, they are my children, who love her dearly
the stars in the sky her heaven.. she will be the brightest star !

The Wall Beside The Lillies
Is where she waits for me,
Her jet black raven hair,
Blowing freely in the breeze.

She stares deafly into nothing,
No hope glows in her eyes,
She does not turn her head to face,
The people passing by.

The smell of the blooming lily,
Carries in the breeze,
it blows softly over my love,
it washes over me.

If only I could speak to her,
Tell her not to wait,
To spend her weary life here,
Is really thriftless, such a waste.

If only i could touch her,
Wipe her sorrowful tears away,
But as the bright light wavers,
I fear I cannot stay.
