Deviousness |
Woolcott demonstrates a whole range of techniques along with processes. The most popular images seen now are those known as digital images, however, along the way, the use of many materials has been seen. I am especially drawn to the original pencil drawings and particularly liked the variety of lines used within. Some of the images are seen to have thinner, darker lines and others including softer lines with gradual shading.
I also found the spacious negative background very interesting. Why is it that Woolcott has chosen to make the girl the main feature of the piece? Many theories could associate with this thought however, I believe it to relate mainly to the idea of feeling alone.
Overall, I have found all of Woolcotts work very engaging and look forward to seeing what more she has to offer.
